It was part of the show Seven Sins by Thomas Ostermeier, Romeo Castellucci, Jan Fabre, Rodrigo García, Jan Lauwers, Ricardo Bartís, Calixto Bieito, composed of seven performances based on their personal visions of the deadly sins in contemporary society: paedophilia, watching, the holy gangster, unnatural behaviour, indifference, bureaucracy, envy, set in different venues in Venice such as the Teatro La Fenice (Sale Apollinee and Sala Rossi), the Ateneo Veneto (Aula Magna and Library), the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello (Sala Concerti and Sala Prove), the Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti.

During the Festival Thomas Ostermeier was awarded the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement
